Through their partnership with the Beacons program, Lucy Laney offers a dynamic after-school experience.
Their offerings include GEMS & GISE, which focus on hands-on science, technology, engineering, & math (STEM) learning such as LEGO robotics & Art Buddies, a creative one-on-one mentorship program. Art Buddies pairs adults with students to foster imagination, self-belief, & creative problem-solving. Lucy Laney’s special sducation program is dedicated to providing individualized & equitable services to students in their least restrictive environment. Their inclusive model, for students in kindergarten through 5th grade, ensures that all students are rooted & grounded in a general education classroom, rather than in self-contained classrooms. Students receive their special education minutes through a combination of collaborative “push-in” support from special education teachers & small, targeted “pull-out” groups. Their early childhood special education program, serving Pre-K students with disabilities, provides a strong foundation for future learning. Lucy Laney’s mission is to promote physical & emotional safety, trust, & shared decision-making while providing every student with the tools they need to succeed in a community built on shared learning & belonging.

Their English Learner (EL) program is designed to support students in acquiring English, while also honoring & developing their home language.
