About Us

Lincoln International High School is a public tuition-free charter school in South Minneapolis serving grades 9-12. Founded in 2007, Lincoln was created to serve a burgeoning immigrant & refugee population. The school serves primarily recent immigrants & refugees from countries including Ethiopia, Djibouti, Togo, Uganda, Iraq, Kuwait, Somalia, Mexico, & Ecuador. Nearly 100% of students are English Learners. Lincoln provides a safe, welcoming learning environment where students accelerate English language proficiency & literacy in core subject areas through English immersion instruction. The school offers language support & translation in Somali, Amharic, Oromo, Spanish, Arabic, French, Swahili, Japanese & Korean. With a student-teacher ratio of 13 to 1, Lincoln educates global citizens to be effective communicators & successful members of an increasingly diverse society. The school offers year-round programming, after-school programs, clubs, sports & field trips. Lincoln’s motto is “One School, Many Nations.”
