Las Estrellas Dual Language School, in the heart of the Minneapolis Arts District, welcomes students from throughout the city. Las Estrellas Dual Language School believes in uplifting, validating, & affirming the identities, culture, & experiences of students in a bilingual instructional setting. The program aims to foster & cultivate bilingualism & biliteracy in a diverse school community. The school is committed to amplifying students’ voices & cultural backgrounds. The 90/10 dual language program starts with a strong foundation in Spanish for the early ages & progressively incorporates more English instruction until students reach a 50/50 bilingual learning environment by 5th grade.

Las Estrellas offers full-day pre-kindergarten; High Five; high-quality bilingual instruction from ECSE to 5th grade; & a linguistically & ethnically diverse teaching community. The school also has a comprehensive curriculum with a holistic approach to learning where students’ voices are valued & amplified. Students at Las Estrellas can take specialist classes in the following subjects: Language, Music, Culture, Physical Education, Instrumental Music, Science, & Visual Arts. The school has a dedicated staff who supports the physical & social-emotional well-being of their students. Las Estrellas also provides cultural experience opportunities & afterschool enrichment opportunities. They have a licensed interventionist, & they host Racial Affinity Groups for students in Kindergarten to Grade 5.
