Recess
All students participate in recess. CVA believes that students should have access to the outdoors & movement throughout the day. Students have options to hang out on benches & picnic tables, go to the playground, walk or play in the large field, or just hang out together. Having engaged staff interacting with students helps ensure the safety of all students while at recess. Clear communication & reminders regarding expectations, & a highly collaborative community, leads to a successful recess experience for all.
Discipline Policy
CVA practices Restorative Justice. They believe that everyone has a place, & they do their best to keep students in the classroom & in the school building.
