In the heart of Uptown Minneapolis, surrounded by rich cultural opportunities, Ella Baker Global Studies & Humanities Magnet School welcomes students from around the city. Ella Baker is guided by the core principles of positive identity development, culturally responsive curriculum & instruction, community service opportunities, & global competency. Students will be challenged to explore & examine the past, present & future through a critical & global lens. The school’s academic & social emotional learning approach will lead students through a broader understanding of self, their community & the world. The global studies & humanities magnet school model promotes service learning, intergenerational collaboration, & student-led inquiry & discovery.
