About Us

Located adjacent to Theodore Wirth Park, Anwatin Community Middle School is an International Baccalaureate (IB) Middle Years Programme (MYP) school. In Fall 2021, Anwatin became a community school serving the Bryn Mawr neighborhood. Anwatin students & families will help shape how the school reflects & exemplifies the culture & fabric of its community. Anwatin develops principled, open-minded, inquiring members of a global community, with students prepared for advanced coursework in high school. Anwatin education emphasizes academic rigor plus connections to one another, the community & the world beyond the classroom walls.
