Academic programming

Metro Schools offer a college preparatory curriculum for their middle & high school students that aligns with Minnesota’s academic standards. The school maintains small class sizes of 15 to 20 students, which allows teachers to provide individualized attention & to address each student’s specific needs. They use assessment data to set academic goals & focus on building skills that will prepare students for college. To help students bridge the educational gap & improve their chances of attending college, Metro Schools uses an extended day schedule for most of the year, with early dismissal on Fridays. This approach has been successful in enhancing their students’ academic performance & in providing students with more opportunities to learn & grow.
