Academic programming

A college prep program. Offers STEM integrated, & social & emotional learning. Tailors learning to individual needs, engaging & hands on instruction, opportunities for additional support in small group & one-on- one setting.

Special education programming

Provides a continuum of services & access to an array of services including, but not limited to:specialized instruction proved by special education teachers licensed in a wide range of disabilities;school psychology services; Occupational therapy; Speech/language therapy; Developmental adapted physical education.

English language learner programming

Relates to rigorous, grade-level content; & is differentiated to students at different levels of language & academic proficiency. For development of academic listening, speaking, reading, & writing skills, Progeny Academy uses Grammar Gallery, Savaas & other learning programs that align to the WIDA standards & provides rigorous writing instruction bolstered by discussion skills & text-dependent thinking, differentiated by academic language function, academic topic, WIDA level, & with a companion guide which differentiates for grade levels. In addition, teacher developed assessments will be administered at the end of each trimester to assess EL student progress towards academic language proficiency, as well as proficiency on NWEA MAP & MN state grade-level standards.

Progeny Academy is addressing COVID learning loss through individualized learning, intervention grouping, remdial & enrichment programs & evening tutoring to all students.

In order for this to take place Progeny Academy staff are committed to working interdependently to provide academic programming that will increase the mental agility of all students. Through a collaborative environment, staff will engage in a strategic learning process by which individual student needs are met academically, socially & emotionally.
