CPATH provides opportunities for students to explore career pathways, while preparing them for college. School staff assists high school students with the transition to college or career with trips to work sites, trade schools, college campuses, tips for ACT testing, & how to find scholarships that pay for higher education.

Academic Programs Offered:

Career & Technical Education (CTE), College Prep, Credit Recovery, Experiential Learning, Multi-Grade Classrooms, PSEO, Personalized Learning, Professional Internships and/or Job Shadowing, STEM/STEAM

Special education programming

Career Pathways provides a range of educational service alternatives. All students with disabilities are provided with special instruction & services which are appropriate to their needs.

English language learner programming

CPATH offers Multilingual Services & opportunities. Their program is designed to nurture various English skills in writing, reading, listening, & speaking, preparing students for the challenges of college & careers through their diverse STEAM programs. The school also encourages the maintenance & enhancement of other languages, leading to the potential acquisition of the Minnesota Bilingual Seal. This Seal can significantly enhance resumes, job applications, & college applications, instilling confidence in a student’s future.

Career Pathways offers students unique experiences that build their future career & work readiness by facilitating internships, dual credit, & college coursework. They meet students where they are, & build a personalized program that keeps students focused, learning, & in school.
Career Pathways’ goals are to provide a safe learning environment that fosters the soft skills necessary to become career & college ready. Their focus on professional, appreciative, thoughtful, & helpful actions promotes empathy & social justice. They work to increase students’ perceptions of autonomy, belongingness, goal orientation, academic press, engagement, & hope. At the same time, Career Pathways provides hands-on & experiential career exploration opportunities that build skills, ignite interest, & foster self reflection.

Discipline Policy

When parents or staff have concerns about a student’s behavior, or behavior that a student has reported, they contact the student’s advisor for support. Career Pathways’ behavior focus is on restorative justice & mediation. They focus on repairing a damaged relationship, building understanding, & restoring trust.

Bullying Prevention Policy

CPATH strives to provide a safe, secure, & respectful learning environment for all students. Any bullying is required to be reported immediately to school staff, who report it to the school administration or the school board.
