Programación académica

Hope Academy is proud that 95% of their graduates are accepted to college. Ethnically & socially diverse, Hope Academy employs a classical curriculum that equips students with a solid foundation in literature, mathematics, science, history, & the arts to become the future business & community leaders of Minneapolis–all in the context of learning how to love God & follow Jesus.
They aim to instill value in Truth, Beauty, Goodness & the Wonder of God. They focus on the humanities–the ability to think critically & know one’s own mind. They utilize techniques such as rhythm, rhyme, & imitation to reinforce learning, as well as Socratic debate & spoken word.  Through this God-Centered Lens, their Classical education teaches the fruits of the Spirit, by seeking to cultivate goodness in students’ lives, & shaping their souls so they would in time seek & enjoy God.

Academic Programs Offered:

Arts Focused Programming, College Prep, PSEO, STEM/STEAM

Programación de educación especial

Hope Academy currently serves students throughout the school who have IEPs, with these conditions:
(1) The parents know/understand that Hope Academy does not have special education services on-campus, & that if there are outside services needed or desired, these services will need to be done in a creative way (before school, online, parent arrangements, etc.); &
(2) The student will need to be capable of receiving his/her education in a regular education classroom setting with the school’s standard curriculum. This means that the student can be an independent learner & does not need a 1:1 paraprofessional.
When they take students in K-2 who have IEPs, the school is committing to have them for up to 13 years at Hope Academy. This is why they need to have students that they believe they can serve in a regular education setting, as they are not able to provide separate services for students who would need them throughout their schooling.
