Nestled in the greenery of Northeast Minneapolis’s St. Anthony Park just north of downtown, Webster Elementary is a place where each & every student is honored & supported for who they are. The active parent & volunteer community is committed to this work & helps to extend learning opportunities for students. In an environment guided by student choice & voice, passionate & dedicated staff nurture & challenge students to be courageous, inquisitive, engaged, growth-minded, innovative, caring, autonomous, & self-aware. Webster believes in supporting a learning culture in school & at home (not homework), & strives for meaningful, enriching experiences that make learning challenging, engaging, relevant, & fun.

Extra programming

Webster has a variety of extracurricular programs available to students. They offer GEMS & GISE, chess, & other creative after school classes each semester. They work to respond to student interests & needs to provide the classes families want, as well as academic support & other support programs.

Webster follows the MPS discipline policy which recognizes that appropriate school behavior is critical to academic success & to sustaining a rich & effective learning community. At Webster, student instruction time lost due to removal from classes in response to misbehavior must be minimized. Webster looks to parents & families to partner in teaching & supporting appropriate school behavior to maximize the academic success of their students.
