Extra programming
Pre-Covid Southside Family School was one the first schools in the Twin Cities to offer a Travel Studies program. Taken every 3 years since 1993, this intergenerational learning adventure brings students face-to-face with leaders who themselves were children when they took up their causes & became agents of positive social change.
“Clubs” is SFCS’s electives program that offers students a choice of enrichment classes. All students are given new club options at the beginning of each month. Teachers & community volunteers teach clubs which range from classes on Japanese Taiko Drumming & recycling arts to basketball or MN History.
