Special education programming
Lake Country School is committed to supporting each student with special learning & mental health needs. They believe that each student is a unique individual with their own talents, abilities, & needs. Students come to the school with their own learning styles & progress at their own pace, supported by the Montessori learning environment. The collaboration between families, teachers, learning specialists, &/or the wellness coordinator, helps to create an environment where students with specific learning &/or social & emotional needs develop their potential within a Montessori school. Learning & wellness specialists serve as educational & mental health resources to staff & families through classroom accommodations. Based on the needs of the individual child, direct support may also be provided.
English language learner programming
Students at Lake Country School learn to read & write using phonics by exploring the dynamics of language & developing literacy skills. The school’s language environment enhances vocabulary, listening skills, & expressive language abilities.
