Partnership Academy’s academic program is rigorous, focusing on grade-level standards. They provide scaffolds for students as needed to ensure they grow as critical thinkers, problem solvers, & lifelong learners. Core subjects include literacy, math, science, & social studies, alongside enrichment in the arts, technology, language & physical education. The school integrates social-emotional learning throughout the day & provides targeted interventions for students who need extra support. Their goal is for all students to achieve grade-level success & to be well-prepared for high school & beyond.

Special education programming

Partnership Academy provides individualized support & services to meet the needs of students with disabilities, ensuring they have access to the general curriculum in the least restrictive environment. The school’s special education team partners with classroom teachers, specialists, & families to develop & implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). Services may include academic support, speech & language therapy, occupational therapy, & social-emotional support. They focus on building students’ strengths while addressing their unique needs, ensuring equity, access, & success for every learner.

Curricula

Partnership Academy follows the HighScope curriculum in Pre-K & the EnVisions curriculum for grades PK-8 to teach math. They use HighScope (Pre-K) & EL Education (PK-8) for reading instruction. For science instruction, the school follows the EnVisions curriculum for grades PK-8.

English language learner programming

Partnership Academy serves a multilingual community & values students’ home languages as assets. Their Multilingual Learner (ML) program provides targeted instruction in reading, writing, speaking, & listening while supporting access to grade-level content. ML teachers work with classroom teachers to scaffold lessons & create inclusive learning environments. The school also partners with families to celebrate students’ cultural & linguistic identities. Their goal is for English learners to thrive academically while maintaining pride in their heritage & bilingualism.

Staff encourages fair play & problem-solving while ensuring all students feel included. Recess is both a break for movement & an extension of the school’s PACK values, helping students develop social skills, resilience, & a sense of belonging.

Discipline Policy

The school’s discipline policy emphasizes teaching & restoring, while holding scholars accountable. They use restorative practices to help students understand the impact of their actions, make amends, & rejoin the community in a positive way. Clear expectations, consistent routines, & PACK values guide behavior. When challenges arise, Partnership Academy works with students & families to identify root causes & to provide support. Exclusionary practices like suspension are used only when necessary for safety. Their goal is to build a safe, respectful environment where students learn self-regulation, responsibility, & empathy.

Bullying Prevention Policy

Partnership Academy is committed to providing a safe & respectful school environment free from bullying, harassment, or intimidation. They actively teach students about kindness, empathy, & inclusion, reinforcing their PACK values. Staff intervene immediately when bullying is suspected, investigate thoroughly, & take steps to support those impacted. Prevention strategies include social-emotional learning, positive behavior supports, & clear reporting systems. Families are encouraged to partner with the school to address concerns.
