About Us
City of Lakes Waldorf School is located in the Eat Street neighborhood, just south of downtown Minneapolis, a short walk from Fair Oaks Park, the Children’s Theater Company, & the Minneapolis Institute of Arts. Every school day, the school welcomes over 280 students from preschool to eighth grade.
Aside from the school’s Waldorf curriculum, students engage in cultural events & outdoor time. The school creates & nurtures a diverse learning community of children, teachers, families, & staff, recognizing & valuing individual differences while promoting & celebrating the multicultural, multi-ethnic society.
City of Lakes Waldorf School is a fully accredited member of the Association of Waldorf Schools of North America & of the Independent Schools Association of the Central States. They have been recognized for their commitment to sustainability & environmental education through the U.S. Department of Education’s Green Ribbon Schools award & grants.

CLWS offers an after-school sports program through the League of Independent Sports Teams (LIST) & after-school clubs for middle school students.
